Rowenta Silence Steam Pro DG9246 Steam Generator Iron – 2800 W, 1.3 L tank, 2 min heat-up

The Rowenta DG9246 Silence Steam Pro is a steam generator iron with a separate base and a 2800 W boiler. It suits regular ironing sessions and large piles of laundry.

Key features

• Removable tank: a 1.3 L water tank that lifts off the base, so you can refill it at the tap
• Fast heat-up: ready to use in about 2 minutes, with an indicator that shows when steam is ready
• Steel soleplate: a stainless steel soleplate with 400 micro-holes to spread steam evenly, and a self-cleaning function
• Limescale control: an anti-scale rod and a descaling reminder help you look after the boiler
• Vertical steaming: steam hanging garments and curtains without laying them flat
• Safe to leave: the iron switches itself off automatically and an indicator warns you when the tank is empty

Looking after it

The steam generator has an eco function to reduce energy use. The cord winds away for storage, and the iron also works as a dry iron when you need no steam.
